20260803330The research aims to translate one of the figures of interpretation in the tenth century, Sheikh Abdul Majeed bin Nasuh bin Israel Al-Rumi (d. 996 AH), who was not given his due scientific study, and presents his scien-tific efforts in interpretation, which are still imprisoned in manuscript libraries. I followed the inductive and analytical approach in two topics: the first: on the author’s translation, his era, and his writings other than interpretation, and the second: on his efforts in interpretation, the features of his approach, and the most im-portant drawbacks against it. Among its results: Sheikh Ibn Nasuh was contemporary with most of the sultans of the Ottoman Empire, starting with Sultan Bayezid bin Muhammad the Conqueror. He is also considered one of the first to compile a substantive interpretation, which is the majority in his letters. He combined the transmitted and the reasonable in his interpretation, and his interpretive sources were many and varied. Among the drawbacks to his interpretation are his mention of Israelites, weak and fabricated hadiths, and his digression into indicative interpretation.
