Issue 103, Page 71-83

Article

Abstract

Title of the research: (Editing the statement regarding what is meant by: (In whose hand is the marriage contract) a comparative interpre-tive study). In the verse, in general, there are many possibilities, and some of them consider it similar, and this topic is one of the inter-studies between interpretation and jurisprudence. The research aims to: study and present the sayings of the predecessors. Imams and scholars, their inferences and deductions from the verse, their discussion, and arriving at the most correct opinion regarding what is meant by the verse with evidence. The research relies on the inductive-deductive-comparative approach. In it, I dealt with: interpreting the verse with an explanation of the problems in it, studying the sayings regarding what is meant by the one in whose hand is the marriage contract, and giving preference. Among the results of the research: the need to study the general terms and meanings of the Qur’an in a broad and in-depth study, and the necessity of explaining the rulings and meanings that result from the chosen statement, and the return of some of the predecessors from one statement to the other statement is evidence that the issue is a dilemma, despite their keenness to reach the truth, it became clear to me that what was meant was By the one in whose hand is the marriage contract, the husband, for the reasons mentioned above. I recommend paying attention to inter-studies, represented by interpretive studies with other disciplines, studying the sayings of jurists in interpretation and their resulting meanings, and studying linguistic terms in Qur’anic verses and their relationship to interpretive pref-erences.
