Abstract
Jealousy is a complex, mountainous, inherited emotion with a global reach. Its reality is the hatred of sharing a loved one with oth-ers. There is a lot of discussion about it; Due to differences in cultural and societal legacies in determining its legitimacy and judg-ing the reactions resulting from it. Which confirms the importance of studying the positions of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, related to a man’s jealousy, its jurisprudential rulings, and its objectives, clarifying the just position on the behaviors resulting from it. The researcher concluded that jealousy is of two types: legitimate jealousy, in which a man is praised and excused; Because it is a defense of his honor from known corruption and reprehensible and forbidden jealousy that cannot be excused. Because the catalyst for it is obsessions and delusions. Sharia law prohibits intentionally arousing a man’s jeal-ousy in order to separate his family, and the judge has the right to impose disciplinary punishments whose severity varies accord-ing to the severity of the harm caused. But this may not prevent natural jealousy from being exploited without provocation to bring about a positive change in behavior. The researcher recommends protecting individuals from deliberately arousing jealousy in an organized manner. It also recommends reconsidering the criminal and moral responsibility for forbidden practices that pollute the psychological environment of community members and push them to crime.
