Abstract
the research highlights: "Explanation of the Prophetic Sunnah by the Holy Qur'an: An Applied, original Study" the positions of scholars on the explanation of Sunnah by the Holy Qur'an, and the aspects of this statement from both the theoretical and practical applied aspects. It aims to clarify the aspects of the Qur'an's explanation of the Sunnah, reveal the positions of scholars on it, and confirm the close connection between the Qur'an and the Sunnah. It confirmed the close connection between Qur'an and Sun- nah, and proved that their texts complement each other in diversifying meanings, clarifying and understanding each in the light of the other. It also used numerous examples, to demonstrate that the need of Quran to explain many hadiths is an urgent necessity, and that the Qur'anic statement in the view of the majority of scholars specifies the generality of the Sunnah, restricts its absoluteness, clarifies its ambiguity, and abrogates it in some cases. It also reveals its width and diversity, determines validity.
