Abstract
Contemporaries differed in the ruling on having mercy on the deceased non-Muslim, if he was righteous, or a supporter of Muslim causes. One of the most important evidences for this ruling is denial or confirmation, and on the validity or invalidity of the claim of exceptionality or exclusivity depends on the weighting of the ruling of mercy on the deceased non-Muslim. That is why I decided to research this exceptionality or exclusivity case by examining the evidence for its proof and the evidence for its denial. As for my method in this research, it is the analytical method that includes induction, interpretation, reasoning, and then criticism. As for the Results of this research, I have reached the conclusion that the intercession of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, for his uncle Abu Talib to ease his torment was exceptional or exclusive for him or for his uncle.
