Abstract
Summary of the research Comparability of social status in Islamic jurisprudence and the Saudi system of personal status The research aims to explain the concept of comparability of social status. Highlighting the descriptions considered in the comparability of social status. A statement approved by the Saudi personal status system on the issue of comparability of social status. The research method is the inductive-deductive method. The jurists concluded that comparability of social status is the similarity between the spouses or one of them at the time of marriage in specific matters in order to ward off disgrace, and it is prescribed to achieve social stability in marital life. It is obligatory to be considered and a condition for the necessity of the marriage, not its validity, so it is not, and they have the right to object. According to the correct opinion, it is considered for the man without the woman. The jurists agreed that it shall be considered religion. As for the other characteristics, it is a matter of disagreement between them, and the right to them is for the woman and the guardians together. The Saudi system of personal status came as decided and operated with the correct sayings, as it considered it a condition of necessity, and religion is considered in it, as for other characteristics, according to custom, and if there is no competence, then relatives up to the third degree have no right to object. I recommend that all members of the Muslim community pay attention to this issue and know it because of its great impact on the future of life, and I recommend the establishment of awareness committees to educate the community on the issue of competence and not to take self-luck. Researchers contribute to the study of developments in the comparability of social status in the modern era.
