Abstract
In this research, I dealt with the definition of Al -Awza’i, the definition of Sunnah, belief, heresies, and some sets. Then, I dealt with the heresies that appeared in his time, I followed it with Al-Awza’i’s efforts in his response to the people of whims and heresies. This research aims to focus on the efforts of Imam Al-Awza’i in defending the faith and responding to those who differ from the people of whims and hereesies and the followers of the sects that appeared in his era, relying on the approach of the Qur’an and Sunnah and the sayings of the predecessors who came before him. Al -Awza’i, the owner of a biography and a march, was characterized by the abundance of science, the solidity of belief, and the strength of the argument. He stood in the face of the heresy of the sets, such as the kawarij, the Sheeah, the qadriya, the Jahmiya, the jabriya, and the nullity of their corrupt beliefs. It was reported by many scholars in their books, his responses-may god have mercy on him-are considered among the foundations of the faith.
