Master's program: • Obtaining a Bachelor's degree in the field of history, civilization or archeology with a grade of no less than 'very good'. • The certificate should be awarded on a full-time study basis. • The applicant should achieve a score of 65 or higher in the undergraduate's aptitude test. • Obtaining two academic recommendations from professors who previously taught the applicant. • Successfully passing one or more semesters or completing an appropriate percentage of the thesis. • The total deferment period must not exceed four semesters. • An application for deferment of study must be made at least two weeks before the beginning of the semester. • The deferment period is not counted within the maximum period allowed for obtaining the degree. • The deferment shall be effective only after the approval of the relevant department council and the deans of the college and postgraduate studies.

• The student may be given an exceptional extension opportunity of no more than two semesters on the basis of a report from the supervisor and a recommendation from the councils of the department and the college and the Council of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies subject to the approval the University Council. The student should have completed at least 70% of their thesis. Note: The exceptional extension to obtain the academic degree is the last opportunity for the student. The student is not entitled to apply for the postponement of the exceptional extension even if the period of postponement specified (four semesters) has not been used.
