Overview
The Planning and Budget Department is a deep-rooted department and one of oldest departments and entities that have been established at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah.
In the fiscal year 1400/1401, a decision was issued to establish this department, which has become one of the most vital departments in the university as it undertakes a very important and effective role in upgrading and improving the university's work.
This department still presents a sublime mission related to supporting the different sectors at Umm Al-Qura University, in light of its lofty objectives.
Objectives
The Planning and Budget Department aims to enable Umm Al-Qura University to reach the highest level of advancement in relation to the university budget, planning, and development plans. This is implemented by carrying out the following tasks:
- Conducting studies on the current status of the university.
- Preparing the university's five-year draft plan according to the country's development plan.
- Preparing the budget draft.
- Linking the budget approval and transfers to all the university's financial transactions.
- Providing the University Administration with consultation services in relation to planning and the budget.
Mission
Presenting studies and draft operational plans to the university, according to the objectives and mechanisms of the country's development plan. Preparing the draft budget to meet the actual needs of the university. Following up the implementation of the budget and making budget transfers to address the deficit, in accordance with the bylaws and regulations and in support of the development processes taking place at the university.
