The Vice Deanship of the College of Medicine (female section), in cooperation with the Volunteering and Community Service Unit at the College, organized a forum entitled: “Saudi Women Pioneers in the Health Field”, coinciding with International Women's Day. The forum was held on Wednesday, 26 Rajab 1442 A.H., corresponding to 10 March 2021 A.C., at 7 p.m., via the WebEx platform. A group of female speakers from different health colleges participated in the forum, as well as the Vice Deanship for Quality and Development at the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education.
The participants in the forum spoke about success and empowerment stories, the effective role of women in leadership in the health field, digital transformation, and volunteering and serving the visitors for Hajj and Umrah. The forum highlighted how women made many achievements in the health sector, eventually assuming leadership in this sector. This is evident through woman's effective role, which has contributed to strengthening health and curative services.
At the end of the forum, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Aminah bint Abdullah Al-Otaibi, expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince for their generous care in empowering women in the health field in order to serve the nation and the citizen in all fields.
Finally, we ask Allah (the Most High, the Almighty) to grant them success and reward them for the good they have done for our beloved country and its progress.
