To activate the role of the university in community participation, the Department of Islamic Architecture at the College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture, in cooperation with the Kafil Charitable Association for the Care of Orphans in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, honored the students participating in the architectural design competition of the Kafil Social Center at Al-Husainiyah in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

The competition took place in several stages, in which the students of the Architectural Design Studio (9) participated in order to support the educational environment and positive competition in this field.

The student Abdullah Muhammad Fathi Al-Sha`ar won first place. The student Mustafa Zahid Mustafa Kufiyyah came second in the competition, and the student Abdul-Rahman Ghazi Abdul-Khaliq Al-Harbi won joint third place with the student Sahl Fahd Saleh Ashour.
