In the presence of the General Supervisor of the University Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Babalghaith, the Acting Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Ayman Muminah, at the college headquarters, discussed with the Director of Civil Defense in Makkah Region, Major General Abdullah Al-Qurashi, means of boosting the partnership between the two sides. Moreover, they reviewed the achievements of the partnership so far, including the volunteering health services, especially during the previous Hajj and Umrah seasons.
Major General Al-Qurashi welcomed the partnership with Umm Al-Qura University and its impact on improving health services for the pilgrims and Umrah performers and on promoting the spirit of volunteerism among the different categories of the community. He stressed the importance of maintaining such cooperation with the university, striving to expand the record of achievement between the two sides and in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
On his part, Dr. Muminah said the college endeavors to develop its strategic plans to improve its health and volunteering services. It also aims at activating partnerships with various sectors to strengthen its community role and achieve the aspirations of the citizen and resident in providing the best medical practices which are in conformity with international standards.
The meeting was attended by the Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Ahmad Mufti, the Supervisor of the Hajj Volunteer Program at the College of Medicine, Dr. Ruwaidah Bakri, and the former Supervisor of the Hajj Volunteer Program at the College of Medicine, Dr. Asim Al-Shanbari.
