The Director of the Armed Forces Hospitals in Taif, Major General Yasir Babaeir, and the Assistant Director of the Hospitals for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fawzy Bukhari, received the delegation of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, led by the Dean of the College, Dr. Ayman Al-Saigh. The aim of the meeting was to discuss aspects of cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, the main aspects of cooperation were discussed in the field of training, qualifying the students, and developing scientific programs according to the future needs of the health sector. The meeting witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the college and the Armed Forces Hospitals. The MoU aimed at raising the efficiency of the students' training, and harnessing all the resources in the interest of the public.
It is worth mentioning that this visit comes within the strategic efforts of the university, represented by the College of Applied Medical Sciences, to strengthen the relationship with the health sector in the region. The visit also contributes to achieving the UQU objectives and vision with regard to community service.
The college delegation included the Vice Dean of the College for Academic Affairs, Dr. Radi Al-Safi, the Vice Dean of the College for Hospital Affairs, Dr. Alaa Qadi, the Head of the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Dr. Ahmad Qasim, the Head of the Department of Physiotherapy, Dr. Muhammad Al-Ghamdi, and the Head of the Department of Clinical Nutrition, Dr. Widad Azhar.
