The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research participated in Gulfood 2017, the biggest annual food and hospitality event in the world, that was held from February 26 to March 2, 2017. The event explores the latest trends and innovations in the world food industry.
The event was attended by the former Dean of the Institute, Dr Hamza Ghalman, Dr. Bassam Moshat, Dr. Ahmed Qadi and a group of public sector officials from the Holy Makkah Municipality, Madinah Municipality, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Ministry of Health.
The Saudi delegation participated with the latest technologies in food manufacturing and experience in pilgrims’ subsistence. More than 5000 exhibitors, from 120 countries, took part in the event to know the latest concepts, strategies and innovations in food industry and the common challenges in the world food industry and means to overcome them.
