The Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers in Umm Al-Qura University announced on its website the start of receiving applications for those wishing to join the external scholarships for the Language Qualification Diploma, as of 29 Safar to 15 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1442 A.H.
The Dean of the Institute, Dr. Hasan Bukhari, stated that the institute requires the applicants for the Language Qualification Diploma to have their academic documents translated into Arabic and attested at the Saudi embassies in their countries. Moreover, the applicants should not be younger than 17 and not older than 24 years of age, and they should have obtained a high school diploma with a grade of not less than 'very good'. For female applicants to be admitted, they should have a mahram who is a legal resident of the Saudi Kingdom.
The Deanship of the Institute called on those wishing to join the institute to submit copies of the high school diploma and transcripts, passports, and birth certificates. In addition, a photocopy of the mahram's Iqamah residence card and a document proving relationship to the applicant, translated into Arabic, should be provided, as well as a recommendation from one of the well-known scientific bodies or institutions.
