The Advisor to His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University for Endowment Affairs, Dr. Meshaal Al-Salami, stated that the university is seeking to establish endowment projects to revive its economic resources. The aim is to be in line with the new university law by developing the university's financial resources through endowment programs studied by specialists, and seek the optimal use of human and academic resources in a way to enhance its investment sector.

This took place during a workshop attended by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, yesterday, Wednesday, at the Jeddah Hilton Hotel. The workshop discussed the university endowments project, ways to develop these endowments in order to achieve economic recovery, and the mechanism for diversifying endowment revenue. The event was attended by a number of the university staff and affiliates.

Moreover, the workshop dealt with ways to deepen the partnership between endowments and the local and global community, and take steps needed to develop endowment initiatives. It also covered the coordination mechanism for setting up joint projects with various sectors to find integrative solutions to common problems in the field of endowments, in addition to the optimum investment of property and its use in augmenting the university's resources.
