His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, launched Manar Al-Jamiah Magazine in a new look on the occasion of the 90th National Day. This came during the ceremony which was organized by the university, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, on this national occasion via its virtual platform, in the presence of the UQU vice presidents, deans of the colleges and deanships, academic staff members, employees, and the university male and female students.
The UQU President lauded the new edition of Manar Al-Jamiah Magazine, as well as the efforts of those in charge of it. He praised their role in producing the magazine in a manner appropriate to the scientific and educational status of Umm Al-Qura University, its participation in this precious national occasion, and the topics it tackled, which strengthen and consolidate the concepts and values of citizenship.
In this regard, Dr. Salim Uraijah, the Head of the Department of Media and Editor-in-Chief of the Magazine, said the new edition is devoted to celebrating the 90th anniversary of the National Day. Its pages included the achievements made by the Saudi Kingdom, and the stages of civilizational and development renaissance reached since the era of the Founder, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud (may Allah bestow His mercy on him), until the current blessed tenure under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince (may Allah safeguard them).
Moreover, Dr. Uraijah said this issue includes articles by the UQU vice presidents and deans of the colleges. It also includes some studies and media material which were prepared by the male and female students of the journalism division in the Department of Media, under direct supervision of the academic staff members in the department who assisted and guided the students to prepare and produce press material, thereby cultivating their talents, developing their scientific capabilities, and qualifying them to join the labor market after their graduation.
