Umm Al-Qura University launched the virtual Eid activities, under the title: “UQU Greets You on Eid”. This event was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Deanship of E-Learning, and aimed at remotely greeting the university students and sharing the joy of the feast via the social media platforms. Activities began on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr and continued on the second day.

The event witnessed great interaction by the university students, who presented unique programs full of entertainment and amusement. His Excellency the UQU President, Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, participated in the event with a speech in which he expressed his pride in his family of university students. He congratulated them on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr and shared their joy on this occasion.

Activities included a group of cultural competitions, during which prizes were drawn. The number of participants exceeded 3,000 people via the social networking platform, Twitter. It also included several programs, including the most beautiful picture of Eid celebrations at home and the activity entitled, 'Information on Mecca', under the tag #Eid_UQU.
