The College of Community Service and Continuing Education at Umm Al-Qura University announced the launch of the "UQU Develops Your Skills" initiative by offering a range of different courses in various fields, for all segments of society. The courses will be held via the Blackboard E-Learning System, starting from Monday, 11 Ramadan, and continuing until Tuesday, 19 Ramadan.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Khalid Barqawi, stated that this initiative comes within the patriotic voluntary efforts of Umm Al-Qura University to address the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. These efforts materialized in a set of training courses that aim to develop the skills of the university community. Such an initiative also fulfills the UQU societal role of achieving health awareness that urges people to stay in their homes to counteract the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and to engage in beneficial and fruitful activities during this time.
In turn, the College Vice Dean for Voluntary Work, Dr. Salih Al-Furaih, noted that the preparation of this initiative was carried out electronically by providing a set of electronic forms for trainers who wish to volunteer. This is in addition to other electronic forms for the trainees wishing to participate in the various training courses offered by the initiative.
