A delegation from the Department of Biology at Jamoum University College yesterday, Wednesday, 18 Jumada Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., visited the research center at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah. The delegation was led by His Excellency Dr. Samir bin Hasan Muhammad Qari, Head of the Department of Biology in Jumoum, accompanied by Dr. Abdul-Majeed bin Fahd Al-Rifa`i, academic staff member in the department and UQU Vice Dean of the E-Learning Deanship, along with Dr. Kamal Ali Atiyyah, Dr. Ayman Shehawi, and the students of postgraduate studies in the department.

The Deputy Head of the Research Center at King Faisal Specialist Hospital, Dr. Yusuf Muhammad Hawsawi, received the delegation. This visit came within the framework of exchanging scientific and research experience, and learning about the Saudi Genome Project and the exome study of some rare genetic cases.

Moreover, the visit came within the department's programs designed to expand the base of scientific and research participation. This is to provide the maximum benefit for the students of the undergraduate and graduate programs by boosting their practical level and improving their research skills, in line with the department's strategic plan.
