Today, the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Umm Al-Qura University launched a field awareness campaign to raise awareness on the Coronavirus. Its first stop was the headquarters of the Holy Makkah Municipality. The campaign was co-organized by the Social Services Department under the Holy Makkah Municipality. It was inaugurated by His Excellency the Mayor of Holy Makkah, Eng. Dr. Muhammad Al-Karbi stated that the event comes within a mobile field campaign organized by the college in several places: Al Diyafa Mall, Hira General Hospital, and the plazas of the Holy Mosque in Makkah.

Dr. Al-Karbi reported that 20 male and female students from different departments of the college participated in the campaign, featuring seven corners, in which information on the new Coronavirus was presented. The corners presented the history of the disease, diagnosis, and methods of its spread and prevention by displaying documentaries, educational videos, and distributing leaflets on preventive and protective methods.
