Hajj & Umrah Institute Re-Opens for Programs of Pilgrimage Diploma

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research in cooperation with the College of Community Service and Continuing Education has resumed study programs of Hajj and Umrah diploma in the second semester after ten-year halt.

Prince Khaled Al Faisal, Emir of Makkah commended the program and called for relaunching the diploma studies, Dean of the Institute Dr. Hamza bin Ahmed Ghulman said.

The diploma is intended to educate holders of the secondary school certificates and give them the basic principles of Hajj and Umrah works in addition to hospitality and transportation. The theoretical studies are divided into two semesters before engaging in an eight-week practical studies at a service entity, he said, adding night study session is available and cost SAR 8,000.

The subjects include language courses that cover one of the eight basic languages, he said, the students would study tourism, computer science, administration, transportation and crowd management. They would receive training to be qualified in light of the Saudi Vision 2030 to meet the services provided for the increasing number of pilgrims and fulfill their needs and improve services provided by active youths.

An introductory meeting would be held on Tuesday, Rabei' Al Akher 1438H in response to an invitation by the institute, he said. the meeting would also be attended by the Secretary General of the Coordination Council of Local Hajj Operators Jamal Shagran.
