His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Acting Emir of Makkah Province, yesterday received, at the seat of the government in Makkah, the President of Umm Al-Qura University and Chairman of the Advisory Board of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Chair for Studies on the History of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Abdul-Wahhab Al-Resini, the Assistant Vice President for Development and Community Service, Prof. Khalid Barqawi, the Chair Professor, Dr. Abdullah Al-Shanbari, and members of the chair advisory board.

Prince Badr bin Sultan received a copy of the publications of the King Salman Chair, represented in 21 books and 55 research papers on the history of Makkah and its landmarks and antiques, and the efforts of the Saudi Kingdom in the reconstruction of Makkah and the holy sites and in serving the visitors of pilgrims and performers of Umrah to the Two Holy Mosques.

The chair embarks on documenting the various historical, civilizational, political, administrative, economic, social and constructional aspects, in addition to aspects related to the antiquities, heritage, and documents in Makkah.
