The Deanship of Student Affairs at Umm Al-Qura University announced the start of the application for the ‘Innovate’ Competition. The competition is an initiative of the deanship aimed at encouraging male and female university students to be creative and innovative. It gives them an opportunity to showcase their projects in local and international exhibitions. In addition, the contest introduces the university and its achievements in the field of innovation and invention, in line with the university's strategic plan and the Saudi Vision 2030.
The competition aims to market distinguished innovations and projects, and establish partnerships with investment entities outside the university. The winners have the opportunity to participate in the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions 2020, in addition to receiving appreciation awards for the best contributions at the university level.
Application for the competition ends on 22 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1441 A.H. The competition will be refereed by a committee consisting of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Omar Sunbul, a number of faculty members, and investors interested in innovative and creative projects.
