His Excellency Dr. Alawi bin Muhammad Bamahdi, Dean of the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah, on Tuesday morning, 6 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., inaugurated the Engineering Club headquarters on the third floor at the College of Engineering, Al-Qunfudhah. The ceremony comes as part of the college's programs to motivate its students to innovate and upgrade their activities, and to sponsor their initiatives.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Ahmad Al-Matehami, a number of college vice deans and heads of departments, and a number of administration staff and college students.

The dean urged the students to take advantage of the opportunities available to them in leading the students efforts at the college, to showcase their leadership skills and scientific knowledge towards creating an ideal environment for the college students, and in order to participate actively in the service of their college, university and community.

After the inauguration, His Excellency Dr. Alawi Bahamdi toured the club, which consists of a recreational hall that includes (billiards, table tennis, a PlayStation and Farfarah). It also consists of a training hall and a headquarters for the management of the club.

This inauguration indicates the dean's keenness that students spend their leisure time at the club, since it offers useful activities and enables their personalities to become refined. The club also aims at equipping students with necessary knowledge and skills, and allowing the formation of relationships and friendships in the academic environment of the college.
