Out of the necessity of effective communication between the department administration and the students (males and females), the Department of Chemistry at the College of Applied Sciences organized a meeting between His Excellency the Head of the Department, Dr. Ismail bin Ibrahim Al-Thaqafi, and the postgraduate female students (master's and higher diploma [Aali]). The meeting was held in the presence of the Deputy Head of the Department of Chemistry, Dr. Tahani bint Muhammad Bawazir, on Wednesday, 7 Rabi` Al-Thani 1441 A.H., in the office of the Deputy Head of the Department at Al-Zahir campus, and the meeting hall at the Department of Chemistry in Al-Abdiyyah (via closed circuit television).
Dr. Ismail thanked the female students who attended the meeting, indicating the concern of the department in holding this meeting which represents a good opportunity for the female students to present their suggestions and ideas. In addition, he clarified some academic queries.
His Excellency then stated that it is the second meeting with the female students in the first semester, highlighting the importance of such meetings which shorten the distance between the students and the department administration for the sake of eliminating all the obstacles the female student may face throughout her academic journey. He further explained that the main objective of this meeting was to offer a good chance to reply to all the inquires of the female students, and listen to their suggestions and observations.
After that, the female students were given the chance to ask questions, and all the inquiries were answered and explained.
