The delegation of the first batch of the Department of Media Studies paid market-based visit to TRACCS Media Agency led by the Assistant Professor, Member of the Public Relations Committee in the College of Social Sciences and the Lecturer of the Public Relations Agencies Organization and Management course Dr. Faisal Al-Shimairi as a practical visit to the Saudi market.
The delegation was received by the CEO of TRACCS Media Agency, Mr. Mohamed Al-Ayed.
The visit included an open discussion and presentation on the reality of the media and public relation market, the faced challenges and the development of the public relations in the Kingdom from pure practice to become industry depending on thought and knowledge.
Further, the meeting discussed the challenges facing the public relations officer, the importance of self-development and ended with an overview of the history of TRACCS Agency for its leadership position in Gulf and Middle East through its, headquarter, branches and capabilities.
It is worth mentioned here that, TRACCS is one of the advanced agencies in the media field with 250 employees working in its 15 offices in the Middle East. It has won prestigious awards from different parties in and outside the Kingdom.
The results of the visit included the readiness of the agency to provide training for media department students and to welcome similar visits in the future to support cooperation between the media sector in the university and the agency in an endeavor to benefit from its experiences.
