The Public Relations and Media Department revealed its role by effectively participating in organizing the ceremony of "World Quality Day", with the participation of the University Vice Presidency for Development and Entrepreneurship, and under the auspices of UQU's President Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail. The ceremony was organized at King Abdul-Aziz Historical Hall in Al-Abdiyyah, on Thursday, 17 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1441 A.H., with the attendance of a number of the male and female vice deans of the deanships as well as the university's deans and affiliates.

The university celebrated obtaining institutional accreditation from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment affiliated to the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, besides obtaining national accreditation for 37 academic programs.

His Excellency UQU's President delivered a speech expressing her praise and thanks to everyone who participated in the success, development and upgrading of the university's quality standard.

At the end, His Excellency honored the male and female staff of Umm Al-Qura University, including the male and female vice deans and the heads of the departments. His Excellency also honored the Head of Public Relations and Media, Mr. Khalid Jamil Mursi, and his assistants in the male and female student sections for their exerted endeavors.
