The Department of Chemistry at Al-Leith University College organized a training course entitled: "How to publish Scientific Research in Elsevier Publishing House." It took place on Tuesday, corresponding to 8 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1441 A.H., and the targeted audience was the academic staff members at the college. The course's author, Dr. Amal Aidiyyah, introduced the Dutch publishing house and the advantages of publishing in it. She also tackled how to register on its website and on other websites concerned with international publishing, such as ORCID and Scopus. Topics of discussion also included the required components of a research paper before having it published, and the process of sending a research paper to a specific journal and the selection of reviewers.
The course was attended by a number of academic staff members. All participants were handed certificates of attendance at the end of the course.
