Last Sunday, His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, received His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of India, Dr. Awsaf Saeed, and his delegation, to the Kingdom.
The meeting was attended by the UQU Vice President, Prof. Farid Al-Ghamdi; the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Suruji; and the Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani Ghazi. The meeting discussed ways of sharing experiences and energy, benefiting from the educational experience, and developing cognitive and research content.
His Excellency the President of the University stressed the benefit the faculty members and scholarship students have gained from the Republic of India in the development and excellence of the educational movement.
The Indian Ambassador expressed his thanks for the warm welcome. He expressed the Embassy's desire to offer partnership between Indian universities and Umm Al-Qura University in the field of education, establishing projects, programming and information technology, and many other areas. He referred to the development of Umm Al-Qura's leading educational environment, equipped with the latest technology and equipment, and its distinguished personnel in various sciences.
