On Wednesday, the College of Dentistry at Umm Al-Qura University celebrated the academic staff members and the employees who have contributed to achieve the College quality standards. The celebration was held under the auspices of His Excellency UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, at the university's headquarters in Al-Abdiyyah.
The ceremony was attended by the Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani Ghazi, the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Khutani, the Dean of Information Technology, Dr. Fahd Al-Dussari, and a number of the vice deans of the College of Medicine as well as the heads of the departments.
The Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Khutani, affirmed that the college's achievements would not stop at national institutional accreditation, as the college's next goal will be to endeavor to obtain the accreditation of the German agency for the academic accreditation (AHGPS) (The Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences). This is in addition to the constant work to promote the identity of the College of Dentistry as a milestone among the Saudi colleges. He highlighted the ongoing support received by the college from His Excellency UQU's President, who is keen on backing the university's various activities and constantly developing production.
On his part, His Excellency UQU's President expressed thanks to the employees for this achievement. He added that the efforts they offer contribute directly to improving quality, upgrading standards to the required level, and creating an educational environment able to graduate qualified cadres capable of attaining excellence and success in the labor market.
