Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Samari, the Advisor at the Royal Court and the Secretary General of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives, visited the Umm Al-Qura pavilion at the Marr Al-Zhahran seminar.
Umm Al-Qura University participated in the seminar organized at Marr Al-Zhahran (Fatimah Valley) that was organized by Makkah History Center, which is affiliated to King Abdulaziz Foundation. Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Museums Department and King Salman Chair for Studies on the History of Makkah, participated with a number of various and distinguished publications about the history, culture, and antiquities of Makkah Al-Mukarramah. These publications included 21 books and 55 research papers, including the book of "Mijannah Market in Jamoum governorate".
The University College participated with a documentary about Jamoum governorate and the educational services offered to the residents of this area, in addition to the distribution of some souvenirs to the visitors of the pavilion. The Deanship of Library Affairs participated by displaying ten scientific theses dealing with the historical, geographical, and educational aspects of Jamoum governorate.
