Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ihsan Al-Mu`taz, the Dean of the College, and Dr. Hawazin Al-Zubaidi, the Vice Dean of the College, the College of Business Administration held a welcoming ceremony for its new students on Tuesday, 11 Muharram, 1441 A.H. The ceremony included various parts aimed at providing a good on-boarding experience for new students, and at familiarizing them with the college and its various academic specializations as well as the potential job opportunities available to them after graduation.

The ceremony was attended by Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the College, and Their Excellencies the deputy heads of the departments: Her Excellency Dr. Alaa Tayeb, the Deputy Head of the Business Administration Department, Her Excellency Dr. Abrar Bayazeed, the Deputy Head of the Marketing Department, Her Excellency Ms. Alaa Fitaihi, the Deputy Head of the Accounting Department, and Ms. Lamia' Barzi, the Deputy Head of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, as well as the academic staff members of all the departments. The event was attended by a large number of new female students from all specializations, who were warmly welcomed by Ms. Amal Abu Al-Ula, the social worker and student counselor, to motivate them and provide them with moral and emotional support.

The ceremony started with the recitation of the Qur'an, and was then followed by a welcoming speech by Her Excellency Dr. Hawazin Al-Zubaidi, the Vice Dean of the College (female section). After this, the deputy heads of the departments graciously informed the new students about the different departments of the college, the requirements of the study plan, and the potential job opportunities in the labor market after graduation, contributing to achieving the Saudi Vision 2030. Next, Ms. Maisar Jabr from Wadi Makkah Company gave her introductory speech on the company, and encouraged the students to participate in the investment programs offered by Wadi Makkah Technology Company.

Afterwards, Ms. Bayan Al-Umairi gave a speech on the moral conduct of students on campus. Lastly, the ceremony was concluded with a speech by the senior students from advanced levels, which included some tips and pieces of advice to their new classmates and a brief account on their academic experiences, underlining the ways to join the Student Activities Unit and its importance.

It is worth noting that the ceremony was held under the directions of His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), and Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, UQU Vice-President for Female Student Affairs, mirroring their keenness on welcoming the new students and providing them a good on-boarding experience during the first weeks of the academic year.
