The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute Concludes a Strategic Agreement to Improve the Services Offered to Pilgrims

On Thursday, 18 Ramadan 1440 A.H., the National Tawafa Establishment for the Pilgrims of Turkey and the Muslims of Europe, America, and Australia concluded a strategic agreement with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research at Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Head of the Planning and Decision Support Unit, Dr. Akram Nour, to provide engineering and technical consultancy studies and services to implement the initiatives to provide quality enhancement of Hajj services, decision-making support systems, and operational plans related to the following projects:

  1. Implementing the first phase of the project to improve the pilgrim experience by making use of the advanced image analysis of privileged pilgrims at the camp of Mina and Masha`ir (sacred site of) Arafat.
  2. Monitoring the performance of shuttle transportation of pilgrims between the holy sites along Shuttle Route 9.
  3. Preparing all required operational plans and technical solutions for transporting, handling, and delivering sterile nutrition to pilgrims during their stay at Mina.

The agreement was signed in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Bassam Ghalman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, who praised this agreement. The signing of the agreement was also attended by His Excellency the Acting Dean of the Institute, Dr. Ahmad bin Hatim Qadi, and the Head of the Establishment, Mr. Tariq Anqawi.

His Excellency the Director of Initiatives at the Establishment, Dr. Wael Halabi, praised the pioneering role carried out by the Institute in the domain of consultancy and studies concerning Hajj and Umrah. His Excellency Eng. Adil Qari, Member of the Board of Directors at the Establishment and supervisor of the transport sector, expressed his happiness with the initial emerging conceptual outputs of the agreement, in terms of the advanced techniques and operational plans, which will reflect positively on enriching the Hajj experience and better serving the pilgrims.
