UQU Dean of Business Administration Honors Participants in “Mass Gathering Skills” Course

On Tuesday, Safar 8, 1438H, the Dean of the College of Business Administration at UQU, Dr. Sultan bin Ayed Al-Baqmi, honored the Director of the Institute of Mass Gathering Management in Public Security in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Colonel Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Zahrani, the Assistant Director, Colonel Khaled Al-Hamidan, and 35 officers from various security sectors in the KSA whom have participated in “Mass Gathering Skills” course, that was organized by UQU; represented in the College of Business Administration, under the supervision of Colonel Al-Hamidan. The event was held at the meetings hall on Al-Abidiyah campus.

 

The ceremony began with Qur’anic recitation, followed by the speech of Dr. Al-Zahrani in which he praised the fruitful cooperation between UQU and the Institute of Mass Gathering Management in Public Security in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and stressed that academic work and security work complement each other, therefore, bilateral work sessions will be held to develop a framework for the bilateral cooperation between the two parties, and its implementation mechanism.

On his part, the Dean of the College of Business Administration, Dr. Sultan bin Ayed Al-Baqmi, welcomed the esteemed guests and delivered the greetings of the UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, and then he talked about the success story of the college and its achievement in attracting the labor market to employ the college graduates over the past 5 years. In addition, Dr. Al-Baqmi presented the departments of the college, and the steps the latter takes to obtain the academic accreditation.  

On his part, the Head of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality at the College of Business Administration, Dr. Ali Al-Qasem, presented the vision, mission and objectives of the department. Following, Dr. Yousri Nabil and Dr. Hani Abdulhameed talked about the cognitive products of the students of the Department of Hajj and Umrah, and the social contributions, agreements, and training programs that are being carried out by the college that reached more than 50 local, regional and international programs.

As the ceremony came to an end, a visit was paid to the Center of Distance Learning at the college.
