Umm Al-Qura University Celebrates Female Graduates of the Class 67

Umm Al-Qura University will celebrate, tomorrow afternoon, the graduation of the class 67 for the academic year 1439/1440 A.H. The celebration will be held under the patronage of Her Excellency the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, at King Saud Hall in Al-Abdiyyah.

The university started giving the female students graduation robes last Wednesday, to grant them enough time to prepare. It will congratulate the graduates of the second semester and the last summer semester, in addition to the graduates of the first semester of the current year. The vice presidents of the university, a great number of the academic staff and university affiliates will attend the ceremony. Excellent female students, in all stages: undergraduates, bachelor's, higher diplomas, master's, and PhD students, will be honored.

The Vice President of the University for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, praised the physical and human potentials that the female section enjoys by virtue of the unlimited support on the part of the Wise Leadership to the educational process in the university, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz (may Allah safeguard them).

Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli also praised the efforts of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, in supporting the educational system of the university by relying on modern educational curricula that are in line with the strategic plans of the university in graduating professional cadres capable of entering the labor market.

Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli congratulated the female graduates, and asserted, at the same time, the importance of continuing to promote the students' skills through cultural and scientific programs that endorse their creative values and lead them towards leadership and creativity in all fields. Moreover, she expressed her appreciation to all those who were responsible for holding the graduation ceremony, and the hard work they exerted in making the event appear so spectacular.

On her part, the Vice Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Fatimah Al-Ghamdi, expressed her congratulations to the female graduates, commenting, "We celebrate today the graduates who reap the fruits of years of diligence that were exerted in an educational environment that lays open the different sources of knowledge, scientific research, innovation, and creativity. This enables the graduates to enter the labor market with efficient skills that are in harmony with the Saudi vision 2030.”

She then expressed her thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Abdul-Aziz Suruji, the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, the Dean of the University Studies for Girls, Dr. Halah Al-Amoudi, and their excellencies the deans and the vice deans because of what they exerted of efforts in preparing the university environment that supports the educational progress of the female students.

The Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Services, Dr. Loloah bint Saleh Al-Harthi, asserted the deanship's complete readiness to celebrate class 67, as the deanship has dedicated its whole physical and human potentials to make this celebration appear in this honorable way that suits Umm Al-Qura University, and bring happiness to the hearts of the female graduates and their families. She added that preparation began several months ago through holding meetings to discuss different suggested assumptions and scenarios to perform this ceremony in the desired way, by meeting all the concerned external and internal parties.

She added, "Choosing graduation robes seemed to be suitable for the female students, after the vice deans at the deanship agreed that the final dress would be a robe, cap, brooch, and decorated sashes embroidered with the class number and the academic degree of the female graduate.”
