The university's male and female students have competed in the Tenth Scientific Meeting for University Students. The meeting is comprised of five themes, covering research, creative contests, enrichment contests, the art of speech, and artistic works in various fields.
Student Rahaf Shaqdar from the Department of Computers won first place in the computer and information field with her scientific research entitled "The Use of Machine Learning to Diagnose Cancer Using Gene Expression Data." Moreover, student Asmaa Al-Usaimi won the third place in the plastic photography field.
The closing ceremony of the Tenth Meeting was held on Sunday 26 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., in Al-Jawhara Hall under the patronage of the President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail.
