Today, in the university president's office, the Supervisory Committee of the Alternative Sanctions Workshop reviewed the workshop agenda and its themes, the scientific figures to be hosted, the participants' statistics, the practical plan of the accompanying media campaign, and what was discussed at the last preparatory meeting.

Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Deanship of Scientific Research, and in collaboration with the Social Affairs Committee of the Province Council, shall organize a workshop on alternative sanctions from 15 to 16 Jumada Al-Thani 1440 A.H. The workshop shall take place under the patronage of his Royal Highness the Advisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Emir of Makkah Province, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal.

Today's meeting was chaired by His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, and attended by Prince Faisal bin Sa`d, Assistant Undersecretary of Makkah Emirate for Rights, Dr. Hashim Hariri, member of the Province Council, and members of the Supervisory Committee.

Moreover, His Excellency the UQU President praised the patronage and attention that His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Emir of the Makkah Province paid to the workshop. His Highness's interest of the workshop shall definitely contribute to the fulfillment of its objectives. The Alternative Sanctions Workshop is scheduled to be held at King Abdul-Aziz Historical Hall at UQU in Al-Abdiyyah.
