The Department of Social Service at Al-Leith University College (female section) organized an activity entitled, "The Problems Facing Cities and How to Overcome them", on Wednesday, 6 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H. The event was carried out by the female students of the Department of Social Service as part of the Urban sociology course, division 141, division 142, and division 143.
The activity included a presentation of problems of some cities around the world, such as: pollution problems in China, sanitation problems in London, and the problems of India and other countries. The solutions made by these countries in this regard were presented, and brochures containing a brief history of these problems were distributed.
The activity was held under the supervision of the deputy head of the department, Dr. Rasha Majlad, and the course lecturer, Ms. Laila Al-Abbud.
