Umm Al-Qura University Dedicates a Headquarters for the Talented Students of Makkah General Directorate of Education

His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, expressed his intention to dedicate a headquarters to sponsor and develop talented students from Makkah Al-Mukarramah Directorate of Education. The goal is to transfer knowledge to those students through the university institutes and research centers to contribute to the production of a generation of students armed with specialized skills in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020.

This took place today at His Excellency's office during the signing of a cooperation agreement between the UQU University, represented by the Community College, and the General Directorate of Education in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, represented by the Talented Students Department. This agreement will contribute to enhancing the values and skills of the students and providing a scientific environment conducive to creativity and innovation.

The General Directorate of Education in Makkah was represented by its director, Dr. Muhammad Al-Harithi, in the presence of his assistant, Dr. Fahd Al-Zahrani, the Director of the Talented Students Department, Dr. Muhammad Rawwas, in addition to the Dean of the Community College, Dr. Isam Bazar`ah, and the vice deans of the college.

The agreement aims to provide scientific and supervisory support for the scientific Olympiad, training programs, lectures, and seminars, as well as scientific and educational support for research programs. It will also contribute to the Practical Exercise Day for students, as well as engaging them in scientific and research activities and organizing exhibitions for creative and innovative projects and works.

The Director of Education in Makkah expressed appreciation for the support given by His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University to all joint initiatives. He added that the agreement is part of the programs provided by the Talented Students Department, through which the target groups will be nominated and selected for programs, projects, activities, and initiatives to develop their thinking abilities and creative skills.
