The UQU Vice-President for Female Student Affairs Inaugurates the Research Laboratories of the College of Applied Sciences

Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, inaugurated the Research Laboratories Building of the College of Applied Sciences in Al-Abdiyyah on Sunday, 24 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1440 A.H. This took place in the presence of the Vice Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Raja' bint Tahir Ma`tuq, the deputy heads of the departments of the College of Applied Sciences, and a number of lab technicians and affiliates.

Dr. Al-Khuli reviewed the laboratory research facilities and equipment, including laboratories in the Department of Biology, plant and animal laboratories, flower and plant nurseries, and laboratories for the specialized sections of the Departments of Physics and Chemistry.

Following the inauguration, Dr. Al-Khuli expressed appreciation for the efforts of His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the UQU President, and the vice-presidents, for their interest in and support for scientific research through the provision of laboratory equipment and supplying them with the latest scientific and technical equipment.

Dr. Al-Khuli pointed out that these laboratories, with their specialized equipment and resources, will contribute - Allah willing - to scientific research, not only at the university level, but also at the level of the community at large, to keep in line with scientific progress and achieve Saudi Vision 2030.

Dr. Al-Khuli also held a meeting with the Vice-Dean of the College, Dr. Raja, and the deputy heads of the college departments to discuss the developmental aspirations and the scientific organizations for the conduct of scientific research in these laboratories to achieve the university's vision and strategies. Dr. Al-Khuli was presented with a commemorative shield at the end of the meeting.
