In the frame of the societal partnership program, the Vice-Deanship of Student Affairs for Direction, Guidance, and Community Partnership at Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Voluntary Work Club and the Educative Club, visited the Sacred Mosques to voluntarily serve pilgrims on Tuesday, 19 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1440 A.H.
The University delegation was headed by the Vice-Dean of Student Affairs for Direction, Guidance and Community Partnership, Dr. Amal bint Omar Khairu Sindi. The delegation included a number of the academic staff and female students in the volunteering team, under the leadership of the head of the Voluntary Club, Ms. Manal bint Salih Ruzah.
The voluntary team was received by her Excellency the Advisor and the Director of the General Female Administration at the Sacred Mosque, Dr. Fatimah bint Zaid Al-Rushud, and a number of supervisors and employees at the Female Administration in the Sacred Mosque. The team was received in the King Abdullah expansion, may Allah bestow His Mercy on him.
After welcoming the Umm Al-Qura University delegation, a brief introduction about the General Female Administration, its work, and honorable responsibilities in the Sacred Mosque was presented. Then, they moved to the place in which voluntary works will be undertaken: King Fahd expansion, may Allah bestow His Mercy on him. This area witnesses a large number of voluntary acts that serve pilgrims in an atmosphere of faith filled with high spirituality and beneficence. The voluntary work included washing oriels and windows, vacuuming and perfuming carpets, and holding multi-lingual circles to teach children and the pilgrims.
It is worth mentioning that the visit lasted from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. After that, the team left in the same way it was received, with salutations and souvenirs, while enjoying the happiness experienced by donating and being altruistic.
