Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, attended the inauguration of the Startup Saudi Arabia Forum, which was organized under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of the Makkah Region. The forum was inaugurated by his Royal Highness Prince Mishaal bin Majid, the Governor of Jeddah, on Sunday 17 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1440 A.H., corresponding to 26 November, 2018. It was organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at), in cooperation with Wadi Makkah Technology Company. A number of their Royal Highness, their Excellencies, businessmen, and directors of governmental authorities in the Makkah region attended the forum at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Jeddah.
Her Excellency, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, was briefed on the latest developments and objectives highlighted in the fields of projects and start-ups. These latest development aims at linking entrepreneurs and owners of startup companies to investors and venture capital funds to enable the entrepreneurs to obtain investments that guarantee the development of their enterprises and their advancement from startups into small and medium-sized enterprises, in order to become major businesses, contributing effectively in furthering the development process. Her Excellency praised the fruitful efforts of these forums, which promise a bright future for our youth and girls, in light of an ambitious national vision.
