The Department of Clinical Nutrition at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, under the auspices of the Charitable Society in Makkah, organized an awareness campaign on prophetic food and its scientific miracles in combating disease. The campaign was entitled "Prophetic Food are a Form of Nutrition and Healing". The activities of the campaign was held on Thursday and Friday, 21-22 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., at Al-Diyafa Mall, in the honorable presence of His Excellency Mr. Hatem Qadi, the Director of the Charitable Society, His Excellency Dr. Ayman Al-Sa'igh, the Dean of the College, and the Vice-Deans of the College.
The fourth year female students at the Department of Nutrition took part in this activity, under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Dr. Alaa Qadi, and members of the Department.
The event was designed in the form of seven educational sections, and in each section, two types of prophetic food were introduced. The sections were displayed in a simple way in order to highlight the outputs of the students to the largest possible segment of the society Leaflets and food samples were distributed to attendees, with the aim of increasing the dissemination of nutrition awareness in the community.
