His Excellency Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, said that the speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud - May Allah protect him - during the inauguration of the third year of 7th Session of the Shura Council provides a clear roadmap for building and developing people’s skills and preparing the generations for the future jobs.

He explained that this roadmap is evident in his directives to the Crown Prince, Deputy Premier, and Chairman of the Council for Economic and Development Affairs, HRH Prince Muhammad bin Salman. Such directives confirm his belief in the importance of looking to the future and developing the necessary plans to achieve this vision.

Prof. Bafail added that the royal speech confirmed that the Kingdom is moving towards consolidating its future economy in line with Saudi Vision 2030 by creating a balanced economy commensurate with its international and regional capabilities, in addition to continuing its efforts to deal with the crises of the region and the Islamic and Arab worlds.

He referred to the political issues outlined in the King's speech, which clearly highlighted the Kingdom’s position at the local, regional, and international levels and its political wisdom based on the Islamic approach. He then praised the King's call to find political solutions in Syria to enable Syrian refugees to return to their country.

Prof. Bafail valued the keenness attached by the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques to the role of the private sector, which is a crucial partner in supporting development that will contribute to recruiting national youth, attracting talented and skilled personnel, localizing technology, and empowering Saudi women to participate in the development and decision-making process.

In conclusion, he prayed for Allah the Almighty, to protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Heir Apparent, and to preserve this country’s security, stability, and prosperity.
