The Department of Computer Science, both male and female sections, held a scientific lecture in the field of Artificial Intelligence under the title of "The Deep Learning Revolution" in the female section, on Thursday 2 Safar, 1440 A.H., via the educational studios. The lecture was also given in the male section on Wednesday 8 Safar, 1440 A.H and was delivered by Dr. Suhaib Khan, Associate Professor in the Unit of Science and Technology at the University of Umm Al-Qura. The lecture was attended by Dr. Ahmed Sabhi, the Head of the Department, and a large number of male and female students and members of the academic staff.
The lecture aimed at clarifying the concept of (Machine Learning and Deep Learning).
A number of topics were discussed: An introduction to artificial intelligence and its different branches, neural networks, an introduction to machine learning and its different types, and an introduction to Deep Learning and its history. At the end of the meeting, the Head of the Department extended his thanks to Dr. Suhaib for coming and giving an outstanding presentation.
The Department of Computer Science plans to hold more lectures and workshops in order to enrich and support the educational process.
