College of Pharmacy Receives AbbVie and Tabuk Pharmaceuticals Delegate

The dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Saud bin Salim Bawazir, received an AbbVie and Tabuk Pharmaceuticals delegate on Thursday 23 October, 2018 in the presence of vice deans and staff members, at the students training unit. 


Due to the eagerness of his Excellency the President of UQU, Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail to upgrade and improve the educational level to keep pace with the requirements of the labor market and graduate qualified national personnel, the College of Pharmacy has endeavored to establish practical partnerships to qualify and train the students of the College of Pharmacy to reach the highest level. 


During this visit, means of cooperation between the College and the pharmaceutical companies were discussed to train and qualify male and female students at the College of Pharmacy to meet the demands of the private sector labor market. The two parties have also coordinated to employ new Saudi personnel who were trained in these companies. 


The dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Bawazir, presented a number of scientific services offered by the College of Pharmacy, which comprises a number of prominent researchers and scholars, as well as educational, research, and developmental services to increase efficiency and support and broaden the services offered by pharmaceutical companies in the health care field. 


It is well known that AbbVie is an international company that specializes in the research and manufacture of biological medicines. As for Tabuk Pharmaceuticals, it develops, manufactures, markets, and distributes various types of drugs in addition to local production of certain drugs for international companies.
