Under the guidance of Dr. Hanady Qamara, Vice Dean of the University College in Al-Jamoum, the Student Activity Unit organized a campaign on breast cancer within the framework of its health awareness program. The event was held on Wednesday, 9th Safar 1440H at 11:00 am.
During the event, Dr. Safaa Yahia Mansi, Assistant Professor at UQU College of Medicine, gave an awareness lecture entitled, “Early Detection of Breast Cancer.” The lecture witnessed the attendance of the College’s Vice Dean, staff members, employees and students.
In the lecture, Dr. Mansi spoke about breast cancer symptoms, marks, and early detection and treatment methods. In addition, she indicated the disease’s impact on the psychological and economic status of the patient. Moreover, she presented several preventive advices against the disease.
At the end of the lecture, Dr. Hanady Qamara honored Dr. Safaa Eid, thanked her for the precious information she demonstrated, and wished her good luck.
