Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafil, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), reviewed the building of Adham University College on Tuesday, 11th Dhulqe’dah 1439H (24th July 2018). He was accompanied by Prof. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Soroujy (UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs), Prof. Abdulmajeed Al-Ghamdy (UQU Vice President for Branches), Dr. Muhammad bin Wasel Al-Hazemy (Advisor to UQU President and Head of the Projects Department), Dr. Saeed Al-Qahtany (Dean of the University College in Adham), as well as a number of related UQU officials.
During the tour, Prof. Bafil reviewed the building’s classrooms and laboratories. In addition, Dr. Saeed Al-Qahtany explained in detail the progress of the whole educational and administrative process and the College’s needs and aspirations. Prof. Bafil also reviewed the building of the College’s Vice-Deanship and the administrative departments and offices therein.
Following the tour, Prof. Bafil explained that it aimed to identify the needs of UQU’s branches and headquarters and render their facilities fully equipped. This was to serve students and qualify the practical cadres that would contribute to the service of the homeland. In this regard, he pointed out to the support and concern provided by the wise leadership (May Allah save it!), and by HE Dr. Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Isa, the Minister of Education.
Within the same framework, Prof. Bafil met with some parents of students and residents of Adham to identify their needs and demands. He explained that UQU prepared all its capabilities and services to provide the suitable educational environment for university students in all its branches. He added that new sections would be created to meet the requirements of the labor market according to the Saudi Vision 2030 to meet the wishes and aspirations of the people in Adham.
