The Head of the Research and Media Affairs Department at the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj And Umrah Research in Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Othman bin Bakr Gazzaz received on Sunday Dhul-Hijjah 4, 1437 H a number of the international media delegation who provides media coverage for this year's Hajj season. The delegation which is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Information was accompanied by the representative of the foreign information agency in the Ministry, Mr. Alaa Anwar Felemban.
In the outset of the meeting, Dr. Gazzaz welcomed the members of the media delegation and wished them success in their mission saying " Our wise leadership led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, and the Deputy Crown Prince, May Allah Protect Him, save no effort to support and develop services provided for the Two Holy Mosques and the Holy Sites for the interest of the pilgrims and visitors and to help them perform their rituals in an easy and convenient manner.
Within the same vein, Dr. Gazzaz reviewed some research projects suggested by the Institute and were practically applied. Then the delegation members listened to a brief account of the tasks and objectives of the Institute and its departments and viewed a documentary film about the institute. After that Dr. Gazzaz presented memorial gifts to the members of the international media delegation.
It's noteworthy that the Ministry of Culture and Information hosted this year a media delegation from 50 Islamic and foreign countries, in addition to 22 independent channels to provide media coverage for Hajj such as CNN, Reuters, Associated Press, Euro Press Agency, International Channel of Islam and Jazeera Channel. The Ministry oversees their programs and provides them with the necessary reports and proposes to them all means of interest and benefit to their programs.
